About Equestrian Foundation
The Equestrian Foundation Limited (The Foundation) is a charitable organization set up on 15 August 2016 by Dr. Simon Ip JP, former President of the Hong Kong Equestrian Federation (HKEF) and former Chairman of Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC). With the aspiration to educate and nurture students and youths in Hong Kong in respect of equestrian sports, the idea to set up a trust fund was initiated in 2008 when the Beijing Olympic Games Equestrian Events were held in Hong Kong. Over the last 10 years, Dr. Simon Ip has raised the initial funding of HK$10 million through various donations to set up the Foundation.
Our Objective
To educate and nurture students and youths in Hong Kong in respect of equestrian sports for advancement of education.
To promote an awareness of animal welfare especially in relation to horses and ponies amongst the general public for the benefit of the Hong Kong community.
To promote and facilitate the acquisition and distribution of knowledge connected with horses and ponies for advancement of education.
